WHEN DO THESE TERMS APPLY?

These general terms apply between Aktivt Uteliv Uppsala AB (“AU”) and the person who, either personally or through another party, enters into an agreement with us as stated in the booking confirmation. The agreement may concern rental of equipment, booking of activities, purchase of products or services, or a combination of these.

THE AGREEMENT

As the provider, AU is responsible to the guest for the services and products according to the agreement. Information on our website and in marketing materials is binding for AU, but may be changed prior to the agreement being finalized, provided that a clear reservation has been made and the guest has been informed of the change. AU is not responsible for any misprints or typographical errors.

AU is not liable for any promises made directly to the guest by third parties without AU’s knowledge and which AU could not reasonably be expected to have known about.

OUR OBLIGATIONS

AU is obliged to provide written confirmation of the booking via email. Furthermore, AU must ensure that the booking or purchase matches the confirmation and must inform the guest of any significant changes.

YOUR OBLIGATIONS

To rent equipment or participate in an activity, guests must be at least 18 years old (with valid ID; otherwise, a legal guardian must be present at check-out). If this requirement is not met, our cancellation terms apply. For organized groups, tour leaders, and families, exceptions may be made by agreement.

The guest is responsible for following AU’s rental rules without exception.

Participants in AU-organized activities must be sober. AU reserves the right to deny participation if safety cannot be guaranteed. No refund will be provided under such circumstances.

YOUR RIGHTS

The guest may transfer their booking to another person, provided that no reasonable objections exist. AU must be informed prior to the start date.

AU may make changes to a booking if equivalent products or services can be offered. If AU cannot provide what was confirmed, and no equivalent alternatives are available, the guest has the right to cancel the agreement.

The guest may also cancel the agreement if changes are made that significantly disadvantage them. To do so, AU must be notified as soon as possible.

WHEN IS THE BOOKING BINDING?

Both the guest and AU are bound by the agreement once the guest has paid for the product/service, or when AU has confirmed the booking via email. It is the guest’s responsibility to check the confirmation and ensure that arrival/departure dates and other information are correct.

PAYMENT TERMS

Payment is due at the time of booking. After successful payment, a confirmation email will be sent. Please bring the booking confirmation with you to AU.

Schools, companies, associations, and other group bookings may pay by invoice if agreed in advance.

ONLINE PAYMENT

Guests can pay securely online by card (VISA, MasterCard, Maestro). A user account is required to book and pay, and can be accessed via registered email and password.
