Classic Cross-Country Ski Technique Courses

Cross-country skiing is fun – but it’s also technically demanding. In our technique courses, we coach you in classic skiing technique and give you the tools you need to become a better skier. No matter your current level, your skiing will become much more enjoyable!

Green Level – Complete Beginner

Perfect for those who have never been on cross-country skis before.
At the Green level, we focus on the absolute basics.
We start with a short theory introduction before putting on the skis and learning the fundamentals.
We stay on flat, easy terrain without hills so you can get comfortable on your skis at your own pace.

Choosing the Right Level

The most important thing when choosing a course is ending up in the right group.
Our instructors will always give individual technique feedback regardless of level – but the experience becomes much more enjoyable when the whole group is at a similar ability level.

Location

Most courses are held in Storvreta, at Skogsvallens IP.
We meet at the southern parking area, where we hand out equipment before walking together to the ski tracks.
If there are competitions or other events at the venue, the course location may be changed – but all participants will be informed well in advance.

Equipment

Because artificial snow often creates tricky waxing conditions – usually requiring klister unless there is fresh, cold snow – we offer all participants free rental of modern skin-tech skis during the course.
These skis provide excellent grip in almost all snow types and have become very popular for their simplicity, as no waxing is needed before each session.
In most conditions, skin-tech skis also glide just as well as traditional classic skis.
